Every successful training program begins with understanding the dog in front of us.

Our complimentary training consultation gives us the opportunity to meet you and your dog, discuss your goals and concerns, evaluate your dog's behavior and current training, and determine which High Caliber K9 program is the best fit for your needs.

During your consultation, we will discuss your dog's history, lifestyle, temperament, training goals, and any behavioral concerns you may be experiencing. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about our training philosophy, available programs, and what you can expect when working with High Caliber K9.

Our Board & Train program is High Caliber K9's most immersive training experience, designed for owners seeking meaningful progress, exceptional reliability, and a higher standard of communication with their dog.

Throughout the program, your dog lives and trains with our professional training team, allowing us to provide the consistency, structure, repetition, and individualized attention necessary to build reliable behaviors both in training and in everyday life.

Each program is tailored to the individual dog. We consider temperament, genetics, previous training, behavioral history, lifestyle, and your goals when developing your dog's training plan.

Training may include on and off-leash obedience, recall, leash manners, place work, impulse control, engagement, environmental exposure, household manners, and appropriate socialization, with behavior modification incorporated when applicable.

But training the dog is only part of the process.

A successful Board & Train should create lasting communication between you and your dog. At the conclusion of the program, we work extensively with you to transfer your dog's training, teach you how to properly use their new skills, and ensure you understand how to maintain the expectations and structure established during their stay.

In-Home & In- Shop Training

Private training offers a highly personalized experience for owners who want professional guidance while remaining directly involved in every stage of their dog's training.

Available in your home or at High Caliber K9, private lessons are customized around your dog's individual needs, your lifestyle, and the goals you want to achieve together. Rather than following a predetermined curriculum, each training plan is developed specifically for the dog and handler in front of us.

Private training may address on and off-leash obedience, leash manners, recall, engagement, impulse control, household manners, confidence building, puppy development, reactivity, behavioral concerns, and advanced training goals.

For dogs whose challenges are most apparent at home or in their everyday environment, in-home training allows us to work directly where those behaviors occur. In-shop sessions provide a controlled professional environment ideal for developing new skills, improving communication, and building a strong training foundation.

Just as importantly, private lessons are designed to train the handler as much as the dog. You will learn how to communicate clearly, reinforce expectations, properly use recommended training equipment, and maintain your dog's progress outside of scheduled sessions.
